TASTE OF WOODSTOCK: The 15th annual Taste of Woodstock is 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 on the Woodstock Arts Event Green, 111 Elm St. in downtown Woodstock. Visitors will be able to enjoy bites from some of Woodstock’s favorite restaurants. Admission is free, but tasting tickets are required to sample restaurant offerings. Advance tickets will be available starting Sept. 1 at the Woodstock Visitors Center, 8588 Main St. and on site the day of the event. Tickets are $1 each and packages start at $5. TOUCH-A-TRUCK: Cherokee Recreation and Parks’ annual Touch-a-Truck event is 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at Cherokee Veterans Park, 7345 Cumming Highway near Canton. Touch-a-Truck allows kids to get in their favorite vehicles including firetruck, police car and more. There will also be food vendors and games. A quiet time for those with sensitive ears is set for 9:30-10 a.m. This event is free to attend.

TASTE & BREWS: The annual Taste & Brews Music Fest is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 12 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at Etowah River Park, 600 Brown Industrial Parkway in Canton. Admission is free. The two-day event is planned to feature over 20 food vendors, seasonal craft beers and signature cocktails, live music all weekend, and shopping including a farmers market and an arts and crafts market. ART ON MAIN: Art on Main is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13 in downtown Ball Ground. This event is a celebration of north Georgia artists. There will be artists and makers, live music and food. FREE CONCERT: The free Woodstock Summer Concert Series’ season finale is 7:30-10 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater, 101 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock. GOLF: The 22nd Annual Hickory Flat Optimist Club Charity Golf Outing is Sept. 18 at the Fairways of Canton, 400 Laurel Canyon Parkway in Canton. Team registration begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The format is a four-person scramble. There will be a complimentary lunch, awards and auction after the tournament. Registration is $125 for an individual or $500 for a team of four. Proceeds from the tournament will be used to support the Sonlight Vision Ministries Food Pantry. ART SHOW: A dual exhibition about material, design, and a reimagining of plastic is on display at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center, 734 Reeves St. in Woodstock, through Sept. 24. Admission is free. THEATER: Cherokee Theatre Company presents “Wait Until Dark,” the classic thriller by Frederick Knott, Sept. 18-27 at the Canton Theatre, 171 E Main St. in downtown Canton. “Wait Until Dark” is a suspense thriller following Susy Hendrix, a blind woman who becomes the target of dangerous con artists searching for a missing doll hidden in her apartment. This show is recommended for ages 12 and up. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $19 — 22 at www.cherokeetheatre.org.
